Health Services
UIS Health Services offers confidential, affordable care for students through in-person appointments and telehealth visits. Services include treatment for illnesses and injuries, flu shots and immunizations, women’s and sexual health services, physicals, physician consultations and basic over-the-counter supplies.
Immunization Requirements
All UIS students — including on-campus, remote, and online learners — must submit immunization records by the 10th day of classes during their first semester. Late submissions may result in a $35 processing fee and registration holds. Students can upload records through the Patient Portal using instructions provided on the immunization website.
Student Insurance
Students are automatically enrolled in student health insurance administered through UnitedHealthcare Student Resources. Students with other health coverage may submit a waiver each academic year with proof of alternative insurance. Open enrollment and waiver deadlines are shared through university email. Fall-approved waivers remain active through the spring semester.
